I’ve never read a devotional before， but this one caught my eye in the bookstore and seemed compelling。 It sat unread on my desk for about two years， but I’m working through it now and must say， it is special。 Each day， a single verse from a scripture is offered， followed by an uplifting devotion that focuses on life application。 If you take the time to digest these messages and think about how they can be applied to the current events in your life， you’ll find the messages， although simple， can I’ve never read a devotional before， but this one caught my eye in the bookstore and seemed compelling。 It sat unread on my desk for about two years， but I’m working through it now and must say， it is special。 Each day， a single verse from a scripture is offered， followed by an uplifting devotion that focuses on life application。 If you take the time to digest these messages and think about how they can be applied to the current events in your life， you’ll find the messages， although simple， can be transformative。 Each devotion helps you reframe how you look at the world。 If you set aside a few minutes after reading to internalize the messages， you’ll find each lesson can help shape the lens through which you view the world。 You can *choose* to see the positive side of things， through your faith， and you can feel a greater appreciation for the blessings you may take for granted。 You can become a better person。It is easier to do this with another person - otherwise you may get lazy and speed through the devotions when， really， the blessing comes through the reflection and/or discussion。 Do you know an elderly person who is Christian and might like a daily phone call？ If so， you can buy them a large print version of the book， read it together on a daily call， and then discuss the devotion - as well as many other things， I’m sure。 If they were lonely， this will be a blessing greater than you can imagine。 You， too， will be enriched in more ways than one。 。。。more

This has to be my favourite Joyce Meyer devotional so far。Each day has a scripture reading， a thought for the day and is followed by either a prayer or a proclamation。The thoughts are more personal than in her other devotional and I value the fact that we can read her prayers which are relevant to the thought and help us to live in tune with God。I was given this book by NetGalley and the publisher。 This is my voluntary review。
